STANDARD FIRST AID & CPR “C”

$112.00

  • Course Description

Standard First Aid recertification offers a refresher training that covers all aspects of first aid and CPR. It includes all of the content from Emergency First Aid and is designed for individuals who need a deeper understanding of first aid, such as the legal implications of treatment, spinal injuries, heat or cold injuries, bone and joint injuries, chest injuries, and medical emergencies. This course also includes CPR-C certification and is recognized by Ontario's Workplace Safety & Insurance Board.

  • Prerequisites

    None.

  • Recertification

The Ontario Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB) outlines that individuals with a Standard First Aid (SFA) certification are allowed to recertify once through a recertification course. After that, to renew your SFA certification, you must complete the full course again. Following this, recertifications and full courses can be alternated for future renewals.

If your SFA certification has expired for more than three years, you will need to retake the full course, rather than opting for a recertification.

Standard First Aid certificate holders are required to renew their certification exclusively through the original certifying organization.

  • Required Resources

The following resources must be obtained from the Lifesaving Society at the time of registration (if not already available to the candidate):

    1. Canadian First Aid Manual or Canadian Lifesaving Manual.
