How WSIB-Approved First Aid Courses Meet Workplace Safety Requirements

When it comes to workplace safety, first aid training isn’t optional—it’s a legal requirement in Ontario. Under WSIB Regulation 1101, employers must ensure staff are trained in WSIB-approved First Aid and CPR courses that meet specific content and duration standards.

At Aquasafe Pro Training, we proudly deliver WSIB-approved courses through the Lifesaving Society, one of Ontario’s recognized first aid training providers. Our courses ensure your workplace stays compliant—and your staff stays prepared.

🛠️ What Is a WSIB-Approved First Aid Course?

According to WSIB Regulation 1101, every Ontario employer must provide first aid training based on the number of workers on site. These courses must be taught by approved providers using standardized course content.

WSIB requires:

  • Emergency First Aid with CPR (Level C) for workplaces with 1–5 workers per shift

  • Standard First Aid with CPR (Level C) for workplaces with 6 or more workers per shift

  • Courses must be delivered by WSIB-approved organizations—including the Lifesaving Society, Canadian Red Cross, and others

Training from non-approved sources does not meet WSIB regulations, even if it includes CPR.

📘 What Does a WSIB-Approved Course Include?

Aquasafe Pro Training follows the Lifesaving Society’s nationally recognized curriculum, which is fully approved by WSIB for workplace compliance.
